Snowy Fun

After an amazing snowfall at the weekend, the theme for Monday was all things winter!

We listened to snow themed music, wrote poems, created imaginative stories about being stuck in snow globes and played some winter maths games.

Science Stars

Remote learning won’t stop P7 from investigating scientific principles. We love using Explorify to discover fun ways of learning. This week we started our Titanic topic and thought about air pressure and the effect it can have on water.

Learning Centres

Anti-bullying week

Christmas Shop

Primary 7 pupils have been working hard over the last few weeks to create beautiful, handmade products for their Christmas Shop.

They sold hot chocolate cones, sweetie cones, cards, reindeer food and gift tags and made an incredible profit of £500!

Belfast Giants

The Belfast Giants came to visit Oakwood last week to teach us more about keeping fit. Benny and Gordy taught us a lot about making good food choices and Benny even showed us a great circuit activity which we will include in our PE lessons.

Faith Friends

Preparation for Confirmation is well underway for our children from the Roman Catholic Faith. A group of pupils from St Colm's come over to work with the children each Friday morning to help them prepare for this special sacrament.

The Daily Mile
