Happy Easter

Wednesday 8th April 2020:  

Good morning everyone and welcome to the last half day of remote learning before the Easter holidays.  

Thank you for all your hard work over the last two and a half weeks, in very difficult circumstances.  You’ve been amazing! 

To all the mums, dads, grandparents and wider Oakwood community, thank you for your support, understanding and perseverance with all things remote!  It’s been a steep learning curve for all of us.  

I would like to take this opportunity to publicly thank our fabulous staff team at Oakwood, particularly our teachers, for adapting so quickly to ever changing circumstances and providing remote learning experiences for all our young people. 

I would also wish to publicly thank our bursar, Mrs McKibbin, for providing secretarial support, in addition to doing her own, intensive job.  She has been a constant support throughout. 

Thank you also to our Governors. 

Finally, special thanks to Mr Campbell, Chairperson, who has supported me every step of the way, professionally and personally, at all times of the day and night.  His unwavering support has been invaluable, especially given so many mixed messages, from so many quarters.  Thank you.

We ask you to continue to prayer for all those people directly impacted by Covid-19, whether they are key workers or those in ICU.

The staff team would like to wish you all a very Happy Easter.
